The Association of Liberian Immigrants in Kitchener Environs (ALIKE) is supported by the Government of Canada’s Supporting Black Canadian Communities Initiative and the Tropicana Community Services. Amazing news -The Association of Liberian Immigrants in Kitchener Environs (ALIKE) has been awarded the Capacity Building Grants from the SBCCI and the Tropicana Community Services in the amount of $33,125.00 to build the capacity of ALIKE and its members through leadership development trainings to better serve the needs of our black community.

With this funding, ALIKE will hire professionals over the next 6 months to educate ALIKE’s leaders and members on how to enhance operational management, personal life investments, and Organizational Governance: Empowerment through accountability.

Thanks for the support from the Government of Canada’s Supporting Black Canadian Communities Initiative and the Tropicana Community Services for giving ALIKE children, youth, and adults the skills they need to thrive and serve the needs of our organization.

Professional skills development training will help aspired and established community leaders to advance their capabilities, support their loved ones, grow their networks and professional initiatives, and further contribute to society.
