ALIKE Women Empowerment Training Via Zoom February 2022

In continuation of ALIKE capacity building support with funding from the Government of Canada Supporting Black Canadian Communities Initiatives ‘s Tropicana Community Services, ALIKE continues to provide workshops and training to enhance ALIKE governance.

In February 2022, ALIKE women connected on zoom for a women empowerment training. Empowering women so they can help themselves and their communities. Through workshops and individual support, women can obtain support to rebuild their lives.

ALIKE women are the rock upon which ALIKE is built. Research shows us that when women thrive and gender discrimination decreases, families, and entire communities’ flourish.

Promoting women leadership at ALIKE is vital since women remain underrepresented in professional and political leadership roles. Systemic barriers and outdated ideas about what it means to be a leader still get in the way. ALIKE promotes a more inclusive vision of leadership.
